What is Gout?

Gout or gouty arthritis is a form of arthritis that occurs when a body chemical called 'uric acid', formulated to break down 'purines' consumed in food (high concentrations generally in meats and other meat products), accumulates and then crystallizes in the joints, causing a great deal of pain and discomfort.
